UTICA - The new restaurant co-owned by NHL goalie and Central New York native, Rob Esche, is now open for business.
It's called "Aqua Vino," and it's Utica's newest waterside restaurant, located at the Utica Historic Marina in the former "Kitty's on the Canal."
The entire restaurant has been remodeled into a relaxing, casual atmosphere. The best part for Esche: his favorite food is on the menu.
"We have a seafood and steak menu," Esche said. "We have our lunch menu...it's extremely competitive with the area. And it's really the location...you come down to and the service and the people we have here and staff."
And Esche certainly isn't in it alone. A staff of 15 help keep the resturant running smoothly.
Aqua Vino along Genesee Street in North Utica is now open for business.
